Privacy Policy

Kortex is a product of Kaplex Industries Inc. (“Kaplex”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation no. BC1599302), of 212–1939 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 4W9, Canada. This policy explains what we collect when you use Kortex, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect the following to run the Service:

• Account information — the details you give us to set up and access your account, such as your name and email address.
• Your content — the ideas, scripts, recordings, uploads, and any media you provide, along with the video, voice, and captions Kortex generates from them.
• Connected social accounts — when you connect a platform such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, or Discord, we receive access tokens and the basic account details that platform provides so we can schedule and publish on your behalf. We do not receive or store your password for those platforms.
• Usage and technical data — standard information such as your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it running and secure.

How we use it

We use your information to provide and operate Kortex: to generate, store, and organize your content; to publish and schedule it to the accounts you connect; to communicate with you about the Service; to keep it secure and prevent abuse; and to meet our legal obligations. We do not use Your Content to build products for others or sell it in any form.

Connected accounts and content storage

When you connect a social account, we use the access you grant only to perform the actions you ask of Kortex — such as scheduling and publishing content. You can disconnect any account at any time, which revokes our ongoing access to it. Your content is stored with our hosting and infrastructure providers so the Service can process, render, and deliver it. To generate scripts, voice, and captions, relevant content is processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations: with service providers who help us operate the Service (our hosting and infrastructure providers, and third-party AI service providers), acting under contract and only as needed; with the social platforms you choose to connect, to publish your content there at your direction; and where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request. If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of it, subject to this policy.

Storage & security

Your information is stored with our providers using access controls and encryption in transit. Some providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to that country’s laws. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to do their job.

Retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation or where it remains briefly in routine backups. You can ask us to delete your content or account at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete the information you’ve given us, and disconnect any social account. To make a request, email info@kaplexindustries.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time, free of charge.

Cookies

The Service uses only the cookies and local storage it needs to function — to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We don’t run advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this policy before we turn it on.

Children

Kortex is a tool for businesses and creators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of majority in their province or state. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and we’ll tell you about material changes where it’s reasonable to do so.
